Masayume: My Life in Awesome Tokyo

Last night’s typhoon was a real nightmare. My school had to cancel all classes after about 5pm, and we had to stay in the office till about 10pm as none of the trains were running.

I waited till quite late before I could get on the Yamanote line towards Shinjuku, and the whole station was full of people!! I had to squeeze onto a very very crowded train and I really almost couldn’t breathe.

But thank goodness, I could get to Shinjuku on time where I could hop on the bus to Osaka. Had originally wanted to cancel this trip to Osaka cos of the typhoon, but since it was moving away towards the north, I thought, why not just take the chance.

So now I am, still on the bus after 14 hours, and I’m not even halfway through my journey. The traffic jam was crazy and the bus was stuck in it for about 4 hours. I don’t even know what time I will be reaching Osaka…

And I think I shall cancel my return journey on the bus and invest in a Shinkansen ticket instead…!
